Skopelian Week

The Cultural and Folklore Association of Skopelos aim to promote and highlight the local customs, traditions and products of the island and among other summer celebrations organizes the “Skopelian Week“. It is a five-day event (during the middle of August), which includes the traditional way of cooking and taste of local products like plums, cheese pie and frumenty and the demonstration of the unique local costume and the traditional wedding ceremony. The events take place on Skopelos port and in the traditional settlement so that the visitor can admire the architecture of “rare beauty” of Chora and tour the picturesque streets of the island.
